The cool parts of my cassette single collection. 1. My friend stole the Juliana Hatfield Three cassette from the mall, and then gave it to me WITHOUT telling me it was stolen. Ugh. 2. The “Drive” single came in two colors. Green and Red. The green version had a picture of Peter or Bill on the back, and the red had Mike Mills. I have the red. 3. Special Rhino promo sampler from the 1995 Robyn Hitchcock reissue launch. 4. Standard R.E.M. single. 5. My 8th grade social studies teacher played this for us. I remember everyone despising it, because 10,000 Maniacs were one of the uncoolest bands you could listen to at the time. Me? I loved it. Probably one of the only days I actually enjoyed school. 6. “Haven’t Got a Clue” is still one of my favorite songs to dance to. Thank God you can’t see me do that.
